Comments: I was an ET-3 when I left, lots of great memories. Served with Ken Briar, Howard Krech, Calvin Acord, and a few crazy radarmen to boot. They were all great guys, just wish I was 18 and could do it all over again.

Comments: I was transferred from the USS COLAHAN DD658 (9/54 - 2/56), to USS GURKE awaiting my discharge in May 1956. The Colahan had just returned from the far east and I had to go through the training aboard the Gurke, in their preparation for going to the far east. You try to figure that one out.
Worked in ships office as Yeoman 3rd Class. I would enjoy hearing from any former shipmates. Continued success, and looking foreward to the newsletter.

Comments: I was an electronics technician in the OE Div. I came aboard when she was going thru FRAM in Bremerton. Rode her down to San Diego and made one WESTPAC Cruise. The Gurke was my second ship. I was also on the Interceptor AGR 8 for 31 months. I would sure like to hear from some of the guys I was stationed with.
