Comments: My dad was Salvatore Gaetano, known as Rogers, who was on the Gurke
during the Inchon Invasion. I have a few photos, especially one of him with 4
members of the ship's office crew. I would love to know their names and any
interesting stories they may have about my dad. Trying to pass on family
history to the children and grandchildren. My dad never spoke to my mom, as
far as I could learn from her, about his experiences, but did talk to me about
them on occasion. He went on after Korea with the Seabees in No. Africa,
building air strips and eventually retired from service. He was never the same
after he left the Navy. He missed it so much. He passed away in August 1969
from a stroke but I would like his shipmates to know the positive effect they
had on his life. Thank you for making his career such a valuable one. Marge
Williams
