Email: master_scribe@hotmail.com
Where are you from?:
Years aboard Gurke: 1972-1974
Comments: I'm the young sailor in the background of the XO-Inspection. I was 18 at
the time and also the Ships Scribe during the equator crossing of 1973
and 1974. I was scared to death......of the XO. For my fellow shipmates,
you may remember the 1790 Naval uniform I had made in Yoko plus my
harmonica collection.....about 15 of them. I use to "jam" alot with BM3
AMOS, and BM2 Fernadez. Also, BM2 Carrier, alias "Chickenman", is
probably in Louisiana....he was cajun I believe. Presently, I'm a
Consulting Petroleum Engineer residing in the Phillipines with my wife
and daughter. My Gurke Navy experience allowed me to get my
engineering degree plus live in many countries throughout the world,
Middle East, Russia, Far East, and U.S. Boy.....you guys ought to see
Subic now.....a resort area with terrorist........not tourist!
