Comments: MM3 - Made last cruise back to San Diego for decommissioning. Next duty was on AS 37 at Ballest pt. Watched Gurke being towed out of port to go to Greek navy. Yes I finally became a sailor. Thanks to Chief Pearson and Fast Ed Triniman! Went back to college and got my teaching certificate and have been teaching and coaching since 1980. Still have picture of Gurke as we pulled into San Francisco.
